SHEDAVA RAMON
Tohono O'odham
I'm seven years old and I did my first basket when I was just five
years old. My mom and grandma taught me. My mother, grandma, grandpa
and aunties are all basketweavers, my mom started when she was young.
I like to weave baskets because I can use the money to buy things
for my brother and sister."
Shedava comes
from a long line of expert basket weavers. She likes to make regular
split stitch baskets and although she hasn't won any awards yet,
she's well on her way!
